 The Delirium is an immediate shock of fear, terror, and panic that human beings experience upon seeing a Garou and other changing breeds in their crinos form. The delirium causes most people to flee either mindlessly or act with some irrational thought. In some rare cases, a human will choose to defend itself rather than flee, futile as it may be.

Why does the delirium exist?

The Delirium exists due to an event that happened at the time of agriculture called the Impurgium. This dark chapter in the human/werecreature history is marked by the culling of human populations in order to prevent them from spreading over the face of the planet. The only blessing that the Delirium provides is that after witnessing the ancestral horror of the forms that once provided the death of many humans, people within ten minutes or so forget what they have seen and the events are retconed as memories of wild animals, movie monsters and other silly notions.
