Russian and Ukrainian media have widely published a video of a fighter in the Islamic State threatening Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The fighter is filmed making a threatening message as he sits in a car in the Tabqa Airbase. H-Center, the Islamic State’s media wing in Russian, have published a Russian-subtitled version of the video.

The fighter says:

This is a message to you, o Vladimir Putin, these are your airplanes, that you sent to Bashar, we Inshallah will send them to you, understand? And with the will of Allah we will liberate Chechnya and the entire Caucasus. The Islamic State is and will be, and it will expand with the will of Allah!

Your throne is already wobbling, it is under threat and will fall when we come to you.

Ukrainian news outlet Nedelya said the video message was an “inflammatory speech”.
