EVERY virtue requires training. For instance, courage. You cannot expect to be courageous if you have been a coward all your life. EVERY coward considers himself/herself to be “prudent” or “sensible”.

Our world seems to think that everything is intrinsically erotic. Whether it’s a song, movie, or book, if it is popular, chances are it is overtly sexual. That is, it will probably glorify the act of gratifying one’s genitals with oneself, another, or if it’s a case of full-blown pornography, who knows? But this is no surprise.
We’ve been desensitized and we know it. While we recognize that digesting such stuff isn’t realistic, we do it anyway. Why? Because it’s instant gratification. It requires no love and thus the sacrifices that love brings. If it’s all we consume, then we naturally repeat those behaviors in life, making fantasy a contrived reality.
